About

Dannemora Federal Credit Union (DFCU) was organized in 1958 by a group of employees of the Dannemora State Hospital. They shared a common goal: to create a place where they and fellow employees could save and borrow money safely, confidentially and at a fair rate of return. Today, DFCU has grown to serve over 15,000 members in Upstate New York. But the founding goal and our commitment to you haven’t changed! As a member, you’re still an owner of our not-for-profit financial cooperative – and that means everything we do is in your best interests. Our earnings are returned to you and other members in the form of lower loan rates, higher share deposit rates, fewer fees and better service.
